From the Grand Chef de Gare:
Voyageurs Militaire:
It appears Messsr Marmotte (Groundhog) was correct in his forecast: 6 weeks of winter. Our consolation is not getting hit like the upper Great Lakes and the Northeast states.
At any rate, Spring is here, and with it’s own share of surprises.
Speaking of surprises, I was set aback by the poor response to membership renewals. As a Voyageur Militaire: do the honorable thing.
The Grande Cheminot is within six weeks, and the Grande Promenade is the last weekend of July. I hope everyone will make an attempt to attend. I look forward to the camaraderie.
The first weekend of June is the Great Lakes Promenade. It will be held at the Hyatt Hotel in Bloomington, Indiana. Short on business and long on FUN!
In September, the Promenade Nationale will again be held in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. A small town that played a large part in a historic period in America’s history. Worth the trip.
And speaking of historic events: AMERICA at 250 years of FREEDOM!
Show your spirit of Americanism, and the gratitude the 40&8 has, for the rights and freedoms so many take for granted.
We are a blessed Nation.
